At the end of our trip to Seattle, Washington, my daughter said she really wanted to visit Funko HQ in Everett. I didn’t know what Funko was, but it was just 30 minutes north, so off we went.
Funko is self-proclaimed as “one of the leading creators and innovators of licensed pop culture products.” The headquarters store in Everett reminded me of an amusement park without the rides.
There was a line to get in but it didn’t take too long. Once inside, there were lights and music reminiscent of Disneyland. Merchandise is displayed by category with hundreds of “Funko pops” available. Pops are plastic figures with small bodies and large heads. They are collectible, with some rare ones being worth quite a lot.
My daughter was particularly interested in the opportunity to build a custom pop. You check off the options you want on a piece of paper, using the parts displayed in cases outside.
Here is a picture of mine. Do you think it looks like me?
Funko HQ is open 11am-6pm Wednesday-Sunday
Custom Pops cost $25 + tax
Address: 2802 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201
Wow this is super cool! I want to go sometime.
This place reminds me of Fallout games and the collectible bubblehead figurines 😀
They have Fallout figures too Black Knight!
What an awesome trip! May have to schedule this in over the summer. 🙂
My daughter loves those pop dolls lol
